A reunion is being held for pupils who started their school life at Trowbridge Girls High School in September 1962.

Long-time school friends Margaret Pictor (nee Lawrence), Jean Reynolds (nee Challis) and Sally McMath (nee Tucker) decided to organise the gathering because they are all celebrating their 60th birthdays.

The reunion will take place at The Crown pub in Devizes on June 25 from 7pm, with a buffet supper.

Mrs Pictor, who lives in Trowbridge, said: “It seemed like turning 60 was a good milestone to organise a reunion. One girl is coming from Australia and another from Scotland but it would be nice to get the message out locally too.

“It will be a wonderful opportunity to have a catch-up and see where we all ended up over the years. We would love to see anyone who can make it.”

The buffet will cost £7 per head and anyone interested in attending the reunion can contact Mrs Pictor on 01225 765255.
