OBITUARY: Mr Michael Mayell
FAMILY man Michael Frank Mayell, affectionately known to his grandchildren as grumpy gramps, died aged 66 on February 20.
Mr Mayell was born in Bradford on Avon and lived there all his life.
He attended primary and secondary school in the town and later went to work at the Bowyers factory in Stallard Street, Trowbridge.
His daughter Kim Stone said: "He was a good husband to my mum, Lynn Mayell, and a brilliant father to myself and my sister Anna Mayell, and father-in-law to Justin Stone.
"He enjoyed fishing, especially sea fishing with all his family in Weymouth.
"He also enjoyed a drink with his friends, who know him as Riphook, at the Castle in Bradford and the Hungerford Arms in Farleigh Hungerford.
"He will be sadly missed and forever in the thoughts of his family and friends."
Mr Mayell's funeral will be held at Haycombe Cemetery and Crematorium in Bath on Thursday at 3pm.
