Celebrating
BIRTH: Leon Samuel John Dennison
BABY Leon came as quite a surprise for mum Jasmine Bailey, as she only found out she was pregnant four months in.
But the pregnancy was uncomplicated from then on, until Leon arrived nine days late on March 20.
"It wasn't a hard pregnancy, I just got fatter and fatter," Miss Bailey said.
"It did stretch my tattoo, though."
Miss Bailey also had an interesting craving - toast with hazelnut chocolate spread, marmite and peanut butter, though she was worried about it giving Leon a nut allergy.
She has been in Trowbridge Hospital since her due date, and hopes to move Leon into a new home next week.
"I've been waiting for a flat and I should be moving in this week or next week," she said.
Miss Bailey praised the hospital's maternity staff, saying they were really helpful during the birth.
"I don't know when I'll be in my flat, but in the meantime they have kept me healthy and happy and that's all that matters just now," she said.
Her boyfriend Gary Dennison, who lives in Mill Street, Trowbridge, picked his son's name, and Leon's middle names are after two of his uncles.
Miss Bailey decided he should have his dad's surname as well.
"I was going to pick the surname, and I thought Leon Samuel John Bailey wouldn't go as well," she said.
Born: March 20 12.55am,
Weight: 7lb 10oz,
Parents: Jasmine Bailey, 18, and Gary Dennison, 31, of Mill Street, Trowbridge.
