BIRTH: Sienna Honey Day
AN appetite for nothing but jelly sweets helped mother-of-three Karen Day through a pregnancy plagued with illness.
With two young sons Scott, three and Ross, 20 months, Mrs Day admits her daughter Sienna will probably be the last member of the family.
She said: "This is our last one. I am done now but I say that now, maybe a year down the line!
"Her brothers absolutely love her. They are going crazy. They want to kiss her constantly."
Mrs Day, 38, gave birth by caesarean at the RUH in Bath before she was moved to Trowbridge Maternity Unit for recuperation. "It was lovely. I loved being pampered. They are fantastic in Trowbridge, they really are but I've got to get into it now," she said.
Despite her delight at her baby girl, Mrs Day admits it was a difficult pregnancy.
"It was very hard. I didn't get any rest. I had every cough and cold that was going round because my boys had it all," she said.
"I just sort of felt, towards the end, that I would never recover. I couldn't shake anything off.
"I had a craving for Jelly Pigs from Marks and Spencer. I went off everything and lost my appetite. I only put on just over a stone."
Her husband Alan, 39, of Alan Robert hairdressers in Castle Street, Trowbridge, has taken three weeks off to spend time with the family.
Grandparents John and Wendy Morrison have also been on hand to help the couple.
