Jason Hinton, of The Wynd, Calne, has provided more information on the mystery photo of workmen that takes pride of place at the George Inn, Lacock.
On April 4 Steve White, of Trowbridge, said the photo depicts builders Messrs J Sutton and Son rebuilding the bridge carrying The Strand over the River Marden, circa 1909.
Mr Hinton has further identified its location in the town by using old postcards of The Strand.
He ties in the shape of the windows and the position of the door to the right of the picture with photos of the street, below.
He said: "I hope that this has helped solve a little bit more of the mystery."
l Former Trowbridge man Roger Pearce emailed us to say: "In your recent photo of Wesley Road ladies skittles my mother Joyce was third from the left on the back row. Her maiden name then was Clothier. All my uncles also played skittles for Wesley Road, as did I for many a year before moving to Doncaster."
