West Wilts Matters
Forthcoming meetings
All District Council meetings are held in the evening, and the majority take place at the Council offices in Trowbridge.
Anyone can attend these meetings to listen to the debate, and there is an opportunity to make comments and representations during the open forum. This is usually at the start of the meeting, but in some cases - for example, the planning committee - members of the public are invited to speak before the item they are interested in.
To speak at a meeting, you must either:
- Register your interest with the committees section on 01225 776655 x204 before the evening of the meeting; or
- Register on the night of the meeting before
proceedings start.
Copies of all agenda papers are published on our website at www.westwiltshire.gov.uk a week before the meeting, and paper copies are available on the night of the meeting or by request.
There may be occasions when an agenda item is marked as confidential - there are strict rules governing what can be considered in closed session', and such items usually involve either personal details about a member of staff or commercially sensitive information.
The agenda will make it clear when an item is confidential, and any accompanying report will only be issued to councillors.
