Save up to £500 - get real!
Real (reusable) nappies have come a long way since the days of cotton terrycloth!
A whole variety of new materials are now used - including natural fibres such as super soft brushed cotton, bamboo and hemp, and manmade fibres such as micro fibre and polar fleece. All these nappies fasten using poppers or Velcro, and fit inside a breathable waterproof wrapper, also fastened using poppers or Velcro.
Choosing real nappies over disposables could save up to £500 per baby over the two and a half years the average child is in nappies for. What's more, real nappies can be sold on after use, meaning more savings!
The Wiltshire Real Nappy Network currently offers loan kits for parents to try real nappies for free. Residents in West Wiltshire are also entitled to receive £30 from the cost of real nappies when they buy nappies within baby's first two years of life. If you are interested in finding out more about this great offer, please contact the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust on
