I am a retired police officer from the West Midlands who has spent the last 20 years cataloguing and writing up reports of British UFO activity between the periods 1940 to the present date.

It has taken me this long to actually come up to 1988, which will give you an idea of just how prolific UFO activity was, and continues to be. I have now published nine volumes of Haunted Skies.

I believe that this information is far too important to be forgotten, unlike the low grade accounts released by the MoD over the years which from their very nature are calculated to bring ridicule down onto the subject matter.

Over the years I have also spent much time in the Warminster/ Wiltshire area accruing information and photographs of the witnesses concerned, bearing in mind that any memorabilia is worth preserving as it all forms part of our important social history.

I have been invited to talk in Warminster on August 29, 2015 as a way of celebrating what took place around the town in the 1960s/70s, and would like to write and publish a book for that occasion.

If anyone has photographs or experiences they would like to share (anecdotal or not) I would be delighted to include the information in a special one-off book which will be in colour.

Perhaps some of you may remember Arthur Shuttlewood or Ken Rogers or any of the thousands of sky watchers that thronged to the area all those years ago. Maybe someone remembers the famous Town Hall UFO meeting?
