We hear so frequently of the failings of the NHS, but rarely do we give credit for the excellent service they can and do perform on such a regular and ongoing basis.
Recently having moved to Devizes, my optician advised I should receive cataract surgery. Virtually within days, my general practitioner had referred me to the NHS Treatment Centre and, some two months later, both operations had been successfully carried out.
The centre is impressive in itself, the staff, most caring and understanding and the surgeon who inspired confidence from the word go, proving to be so well-skilled, competent and patient.
Treatment Centre, you are a credit and inspiration, and I am certain, on behalf of all those having passed through your portals, I can thank you most sincerely.
Maurice Palfrey, Anstie Court, Devizes.
