I have recently moved to Westbury and love it here, but it is ruined by the few who drop their litter, sometimes within two metres of a bin; if you ask them politely to pick it up you are met with profanity.
I walk my dog frequently around town and carry an ample supply of poop bags with me and now carry with me a supermarket plastic bag to pick up all the other non-dog litter. I have contacted the town council re letting me have a litter picker, as some items should be handled with extreme caution. They were very supportive in their reply but sadly due to health and safety issues can’t help.
So I have an idea, as I take my phone every where I go, I will start taking photos of the culprits (stealthily) and then email them to the council, police and newspapers. I will also upload them to Facebook etc. Hopefully printing this letter could make them think twice.
