Cllr Thomson, supposedly responsible for important decisions at the Highways Dept of Wiltshire County Council, after some six years of debating, has yet again stalled the decision on the HCZ project for Bradford by ordering a parish poll.

This will cost some £6,000 but WILL NOT BE BINDING. What next?

That said, on July 16, I attended Bradford Town Council’s meeting where young members of the local youth clubs, speaking on behalf of the county’s youth, presented a very strong case to save the closure of their clubs. Several, soon to be redundant, youth club workers were also in attendance.

I’ll tell you what Mr Thomson, forget all about the HCZ, return your £2.5 million (any interest?) to central office and use the money for the future benefit of our youth.

They won’t have to hang around on street corners, you won’t have to make a decision and, lucky you, you will come out smelling of roses.
