I read with interest Chris Auckland’s letter in the Wiltshire Times, Save our Centre. Trowbridge Cyber Cafe (Disabled On Line) is one of those groups, mentioned but not named, that use Court Mills. We are very sad to be leaving there as it has had a nice community feel using the centre alongside other valuable organisations.

We have only heard rumours about closing dates, as yet we have had no official written confirmation from Wiltshire Council giving us notice when they would like us to vacate the building. Some groups may be staying on longer than others but in general it seems other organisations within Court Mills are in the same situation, having not heard.

So we are having to inform our clients that we will be closing soon which has caused upset along with tears and fears of when they will be able to use the computers again. We have people with learning difficulties, visually impaired and completely blind people with guide dogs that will have to be re-trained to use a new route, besides others with transport issues.

It is with great sadness that I am writing to say the Court Mills Centre, where we run the cyber cafe, will not be available much longer. We have been busy searching for suitable premises and hope that one will become available soon, so we can reopen as quickly as possible.

Please remember to pop in or email trowbridgecybercafe@yahoo. com so we can send you our new cyber cafe address. We will look forward to seeing you all again.

Keith and Jayne, Disabled On Line, Court Mills.
