The War Widows’ Association wants to end the discrimination and inequality of provision whereby 4,020 war widows lose their war widows pension (paid under the 1973 War Pensions Scheme) if they remarry or cohabit, while all other war widows retain all their pension for life, regardless of whether they remarry or cohabit.

The Government’s own estimated cost of rectifying this is about £30k a year. So why don’t they do it?.

Please help us achieve this goal in a dignified and honourable way and write to the Prime Minister asking that he corrects this wrong and allows all war widows to rebuild their lives without sacrificing their war widows pension – a pension they deserve.
