There are crossbench Members of Parliament doing as their voters ask them to do, trying to doing something to address the suffering inflicted on other species for profit, puppy farms and the fly grazing and tethering of equines which is part of the horsemeat trade. But as usual any government formed does what seems best for its own and certain vested interests and not what is for overall good.

For 40 odd years, my wife and I took in retired and rescued equines and fed and watered animals which were being left without either.

The RSPCA does its best, but as the law stands it allows the owners to get away with it. Our Tory MP thinks that to do anything would make the life of so-called travellers difficult, which is nonsense and using a false premise, because the owners of these equines no longer travel as they use to.

This problem has to be addressed.
