It has always seemed to me that bicycles with 20-inch wheels and over were made to be ridden on the road, but looking at the latest pavement markings at the roundabout at the junction of Wingfield Road and Bradford Road, Trowbridge, they are telling the cyclist to use the walkway or pavement.
So are the pedestrians to use the roadway with their pushchairs and wheelchairs? I can’t remember the last time I saw a policeman or council official telling someone not to ride on the pavement. I thought that there was a bylaw stating this with a small fine, perhaps the council would let us all know what the rules are for or against riding on the pavement.
