If the driver of the dark blue Hyundai who did it is reading this, the damage wasn’t as bad as it looked, but pretending to leave details and driving off has meant the matter has been referred to the police.

They have details of witnesses and the car registration, but I would rather their time wasn’t being wasted on investigating what could easily be settled via insurance or privately. Perhaps now the heat of the moment has passed, the driver will have the common decency to contact me via the paper. We all make mistakes, but few that can’t be fixed or forgiven.
