Do you recall acts?
Following the demise of Lilleys – formerly The Flamingo Club at Westwells Road, Corsham – I, along with a few others who were patrons of this club in the 1970s, have been trying to remember famous (now) acts who performed there at that time.
One name in particular sticks in my mind, that of Marty Wilde, who I think was there in 1972 although no-one else agrees with me on that.
Perhaps you may have readers who were there at the time and can confirm this?
It would be interesting to hear of other people’s memories of other famous acts who appeared there in those days.
