On behalf of Bradford on Avon Rotary Club we would like to thank the people of Trowbridge, Bradford on Avon and surrounding villages for supporting our firework display on Wednesday November 5 at the Greenhill Fields Event Site, Southwick. It was attended by over 3,300 people – the largest number we have had. A great deal of hard work has to go into organising an event such as this and the reward is seeing so many people attending and appreciating the evening.

We are very grateful to those in the town that help us sell tickets in advance and we were helped on the night by Trowbridge Wessex Mead Rotary Club and the 41 Club of Trowbridge.

The proceeds of the evening will go to further our work in helping local organisations such as Dorothy House, Young Carers, the Scouts and Riding for the Disabled as well as internationally supporting Polio Plus to eradicate polio worldwide, sending out shelter boxes and assisting where the need arises.

Our thanks once again to all who attended and to the Wiltshire Times for their coverage for what was a most spectacular display and a very enjoyable evening.

Geoff Eynon, President, Bradford on Avon Rotary Club.
