How hard can it be to erect a bus shelter? It would seem that the developers who have built hundreds of homes to the east of Melksham have had problems when installing the bus shelters on Thyme Road, Melksham. They have all been erected back-to-front.
As part of the planning agreement, the builders had to provide the shelters and fund the local bus service to the estate, which they have done.
But, due to the mistake in erecting the shelters, they are little more than useless, as the front is open to all weathers and passengers waiting for a bus are exposed to all weathers and spray from passing traffic.
I have spoken to both the builders and Wiltshire Council, but, as usual, everyone seems to be passing the buck.
Cllr Terry Chivers, Independent Melksham Without North, Eden Grove, Whitley, Melksham.
