Once again there was a letter in the Wiltshire Times concerning parking at County Hall.
Surely I can’t be the only person who rarely has a problem parking there. I visit the library regularly and recently attended a wedding at the register office so needed to be there for a specific time. No problem.
In spite of letters to the paper the fact is that the situation has hardly changed from when the library was across the road. Yes, there was designated parking for the library, but unless this was policed it was used by shoppers, council staff, visitors to County Hall and councillors.
I acknowledge that I might have to wait a few minutes for a space but I have never been unable to find one. And maybe that’s the key. I am prepared to wait and don’t expect to drive into a space immediately.
