AGAIN I write in reply to Cllr Seed to put him right on the facts. He says Group 5 moved without notifying Wiltshire Council of our new address. Wiltshire Council helped us find the property we now occupy more than 15 years ago and agreed to further help us by providing a grant to pay for the rent, which is the grant we are anxious to retain today. Over the years since, many departments in County Hall have written to us with the correct address. We are still running our charity from this address and have not moved.

Most of the other comments made by Cllr Seed I have already answered previously.

However Cllr Seed has still not said why Group 5 was singled out to have its grant totally axed while other charities have only had theirs reduced. He is fully aware that our costs are cut to a minimum.

Many people are asking why our grant has been cut, which is throwing unwarranted suspicion on our charity. We do need Wiltshire Council's financial support to alleviate this suspicion. All we ask is that we be treated the same as any other charity.

We are also anxious to know how the decision to cancel our grant was made in December last year when we understand no council meeting to discuss the situation was to take place until two months later.

We understand that Wiltshire Council has to make cuts of £30 million but for the sake of desperate needy families, is £5,000 going to have that much of an effect?
