IN July 2012 my wife and I marched from the old Bowyers site with over 400 other Trowbridge residents because we were all deeply unhappy with the decision concerning the redevelopment of the Bowyers site.

It seemed a complete 'no brainer' to all of us that £45 million and 400 to 450 new jobs into the town was very much needed.

Interestingly at that time just 14 miles away a report in the Bath Chronicle declared that Bath city residents were the happiest in the UK. Are the residents of Trowbridge any happier today?

Meantime, Cineworld and the additional supporting redevelopments are still not in place despite the fact that dynamic Cineworld has recently spent about £600 million buying out a German cinema group and Odeon went bust and was sold to a hedge fund.

So we would all like to know what happiness level does Trowbridge have today?
