THANK you to all those who kindly donated to Trowbridge & District Youth Band at the various Christmas carol playing sessions in the area throughout December.
The weather was kind to us this year, and many of our youngest players, including beginners, were able to perform along with our more experienced members.
We received lots of lovely comments from members of the public and £847.45 was raised which will be used for instrument repairs and purchase of new instruments and music. A big thank you also goes to Castle Mead School, for inviting the band to play at their Christmas fair, and to Tesco, Asda and Matalan for allowing the band to play at their stores.
We are very grateful to all of the parents and friends who supported the band and lastly, thanks to band members who took part. We already have new beginners for 2016 and if you know of any young people who would like to join the band call Eileen Taylor on 01225 972943.
