I WAS devastated to hear the Connect 2 Hopper is to be cancelled. For me, as many others, it will mean three buses each way to the RUH, Bath. At 86, I can still manage this at present, but attendance times will be limited. For many disabled and elderly people this option is not possible. A taxi costs at least £30 each way.
I was told that it would be suggested at a council meeting that perhaps fares could be raised and a halt to a couple of little use times might be the answer, but before this happened, the closure was announced.
Is there no way to save such a possibly life-saving service. I’m sure none of us would object to paying more. Is there anything that can be done?
