THE Trowbridge BID Awareness Group holds an impartial position in relation to the proposed Trowbridge Business Improvement District (BID).

However, on December 3, 2015, the town clerk made the following statement relating to the proposed Trowbridge BID: “Wiltshire Council are funding the campaign for a yes vote.”

It is estimated that Wiltshire Council will have 25 votes in the ballot from their rateable properties and car parks. We have distributed more than 200 letters to businesses such as shops and offices, outlining the proposal and potential cost.

Due to information restrictions our group is unable to make contact with the owners of all private car parks. If car parks are to be entitled to vote, whether Wiltshire Council-owned or not, they should all have their say.

Wiltshire Council ‘Where Everybody Matters’ or should it be ‘Where Every Car Park Matters’?

Therefore, we would like to hear from the owner of the car park at Shires Gateway, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge.
