TWO items in last week’s edition stirred.
First, the fact that it costs £100 per person per trip to run the Hopper! However was this justified in the first place? No wonder the council wants to save the ratepayers money.
Secondly, surely there was a better and more economical way of dealing with a parked car? Why could not the contractors either have contacted the registered keeper through the DVLA or temporarily had it removed? This must have been cheaper than coming back another time to finish the work, or were they more interested in their bottom line than saving the council money?
