The RUH Hopper saga goes on. Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group are determined not to co-operate and totally ignoring the urgent needs of its many users. A considerable number of these users have contacted us and urged us to find other ways of funding this vital service. This has not been helped by the falsehood put forward by R M Hearnden in your columns last week.
The Hopper does NOT cost £100 per person per trip. We have a feeling that this total inaccuracy originates from a typo in one of your earlier reports on the matter. With such misinformation being peddled, it makes it so much harder for us to devise a new model for funding the Hopper and enabling local people to access the RUH in safety.
