THE politicians seem surprised that people voted to exit the EU; if they had listened to the people they would not have got themselves in this mess, as they are only interested in themselves and the money they get.

Why, when they renegotiated, did they let these things through in the first place? They have been in charge for 30-odd years. Most people are not against helping refugees and free trade, we had them in the war. Why do they all want to come here? Is it the easy way they can come over here and milk the system?

That’s how it looks to most people, free trade is one thing, uncontrollable immigration is not on.

We are a small island and hospitals and housing cannot cope with that sort of input.

I have just experienced the delays myself, having to wait three weeks for an internal examination because of the overload. Perhaps they will listen in the future, but I am very doubtful.
