AS A RESIDENT, who was born here and has lived in the town for over 50 years, I am concerned about what is happening to the treasure of the town: Our park.
I take my “constitutional” walk twice daily around the park and can count on my hands the use being made of the so-called fitness trail. What an eyesore and total waste of our council tax money.
Surely there should be consultation and approval before the public allows this to happen? It appears the council is quite happy to let a group decide what is best for the town.
I have also noticed that near the tennis courts a group has assembled drinking alcohol. All this has to be eliminated by the promise of a “new” park.
I would urge the council to be more diligent in what is happening in our park before it’s too late and our park becomes a miniature building site.
Enough is enough.
