LADIES from the Minster Church of St Denys, Warminster, have been knitting brightly coloured twiddle muffs for Warminster Hospital.
Twiddle muffs are designed to provide a stimulation activity for restless hands for people suffering from dementia.
A twiddle muff is a double thickness hand muff with bits and pieces attached inside and out. The patients take them home, so there will always be a demand for more.
The knitting group, which also includes Sue Berridge, are now knitting for Fish And Chip babies. Many babies in Africa are sent home wrapped in newspaper. These body suits offer a lovely alternative.
