ON behalf of The Lions Club of Bradford on Avon, I would like to thank all members of the public who supported our 20th family fun day on Bank Holiday Monday, May 29, despite the inclement weather.
After covering our expenses we are expected to show a surplus of about £2,300 on our takings. This will be placed in our charitable trust fund to enable us to fund worthwhile local causes.
The winners of the duck race were as follows:
1st prize £100, duck No 37, Judith, Bradford on Avon.
2nd prize £25, duck No 131, Edward Mountain, Bradford on Avon.
3rd prize large hamper, duck No 88, G Jameson, Calne.
Other winners: name the rabbit: Jo Ewin, Trowbridge. Guess number of sweets: Rose Church, Trowbridge. Gin bottle draws: Vicky Bennett, Bradford on Avon and Louella Curtis, Bradford on Avon.
