MY wife and I visited Salisbury Hospital recently. When we got into the car park I went and got a four-hour ticket; we were a little early as there was hardly any traffic between Trowbridge and Salisbury, so we had a snack in the café.
My wife was seen in several places for her eyes and it took over three hours since we arrived, but the doctor had given her a prescription that had to be done at the hospital so while my wife was queuing up at reception I went to the chemist to get the prescription.
After handing it over, the assistant said it will be 40 minutes to take something off a shelf and hand it over.
There was no one else in the chemist, nobody waiting, this is not the first time as it was the same last year.
I went back to reception to complain, the receptionist was very good, she went in to see the doctor who then said get it back and get our doctor to write out the same prescription.
The assistant in the chemist said to my wife and the receptionist that they were doing stocktaking. Surely you do stocktaking after you are closed as patients come first while you’re open? What if my time had run out in the car park? The cheapest ticket is £2.40 to wait 40 minutes.
