In the June 30 edition of the Wiltshire Times letters page, Mr White highlighted the mass of rubbish on the streets in the town, which really is not the responsibility of the council, but the townspeople themselves who made the mess in the first place. How many people have you seen discarding spent cigarette ends, takeaway packaging, cans, sweet wrappers etc, even when they are close to a bin? If we want to keep the town tidy it is up to us to ensure all our own rubbish is disposed of correctly.
