It is unfortunate that Miss Kynaston (Letters, July 7) has picked North Korea as an example of countries in need of our largesse, bearing in mind that the oppression of its people is by its own government and that they have just launched an intercontinental missile. This hardly suggests that they are one of the poor countries and could well fund their own welfare. I am sure they welcome the aid which allows them to spend more on missiles etc.
I fully agree with Miss Kynaston that there is no point in exchanging letters and this will be my last comment on the subject.
