I AM writing to voice concerns regarding the car parking at the new M&S store in Trowbridge. Parking there is quite limited and there are very few disabled parking bays close to the store. On a recent visit I also saw the standard misuse of the parent/child parking with teenage kids jumping out of cars parked in those bays.

The car park operators, however, do not allow disabled badge drivers to use their badges in a standard car parking bay if the disabled bays are full. They need to obtain a ticket from the parking machines. However, the rules about this are vague and badly signed as you will notice from the photos I have attached. To read the notice on the parking board regarding disabled parking rules you have to be standing almost underneath the sign. It should be much larger to avoid people falling foul of the very vague regulations.

The standard penalty fee of £48 could be applied by the company of £48 for those disabled drivers who get confused with the parking regulations that are imposed. I feel the signs should be much more visible than they are.

It is yet another rogue parking company in Trowbridge similar to the one which operates at the Odeon Cinema. Why are these known rogues allowed to operate when the town is already becoming very rundown due to shop closures?

I hope you will look into this latest problem.
