On Saturday, September 2, I tripped and fell in Manvers Street, my head colliding with the wall by the bus shelter and Lloyds Bank. Fortunately I did not black out, but attempting to get up I found myself supported and comforted by what I can only say were three guardian angels.
These ladies stopped the blood from my head wound with one of their jumpers before calling for an ambulance and waiting and attending to me till it arrived.
These three wonderful, caring ladies informed me they had recently completed first aid courses, which was my good fortune. They passed their first test with my accident. Unfortunately, in the confusion, I was unable to get their names, so I would like by way of this letter to express my heartfelt thanks.
