I WOULD like to take this opportunity on behalf of myself and my daughter to thank Neil, Sonia, Suzanne, Heidi, Milly and all the staff at Greengates Care Home in Westbury for their wonderful care they have taken of my husband over the past months.
On August 31, I received a letter from Mr Yeoh, the managing director of Greengates, informing me of the closure of the Home on September 21. He also wrote that if I needed any assistance I could contact my husband’s social worker or the local council.
Luckily, before receiving this letter I was contacted by the council on August 19 informing me of the closure, otherwise I wouldn’t have known what to do.
With their help and the staff at Greengates we have had a smooth transition to my husband’s new care home. As I stated before, the staff have been exemplary in their care to my husband and I know there have been many tears.
It is not a job to them as they have treated the residents as family. Hopefully they all find other placements and are happy.
