I’m sure that I’m not the only person who has noted that the public grassed areas in residential areas in Wiltshire are starting to look a total mess.
The sad thing is that I’m being told by workers employed by contractors to cut the grass that they are receiving endless complaints from members of the public.
In many cases local town and parish councillors have taken over the care of these public open spaces, however in many cases they don’t have the budgets to do so.
Can I suggest that members of the public who have a complaint regarding the upkeep of public open spaces lay the blame at the door of the local Conservative councillors who voted to reduce the funding for the care of public open spaces in Wiltshire, and not at the door of the hardworking workers on the frontline, who often earn little more than the minimum wage.
