As we come again to Christmas it is good that amidst all the joy and excitement this season brings. with so many memories, we can again look back to the age-old story, and join with the shepherds as on those hills outside Bethlehem they heard the Christmas message. Fear not: for, behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour which is Christ the Lord.
We hear the Christmas Angels, the great glad tidings sing, O come to us abide with us, our Lord Immanuel.
As the year 2017 dawned little did we realise the sadness, tragedy and terror which would come in the following months. Many families affected in so many ways, with the loss of loved ones and lasting injuries. That baby at Bethlehem himself many years later brought words of hope and comfort to many in need gathered around. Jesus still says ‘Come unto me all you who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest’.
With every blessing for Christmas and the coming year.
