Dressed for war

Attending the Lacock Boxing Day Hunt meet with my grandchildren I was astonished to see police carrying weapons and dressed as if to enter a war zone among the onlookers.

Can the Chief Constable say what threat required this alarming and intimidating display?

The recent comments by Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Constabulary deploring the increasingly militaristic appearance of our police do not appear to have reached Wiltshire’s senior officers.

Ian Thompson, Sunningdale, Lanes End, Gastard.

That's because plod is always ready to 'cosh' the law abiding people because they are frightened to take the real scum on. Well done plod, you are champs or is that chumps or even chimps but they again, chimps are intelligent, not like you thick lot.
