Surely Jonathon Seed and RL Tonge, Jan 27, are confirming a point Mr Lauder made, that the tax payers are funding any extra services needed by problems caused by a single issue group like the blood sports fraternity, whereas if any other organisation want to hold a gathering that would cause traffic or other problems as highlighted by R L Tonge, they would have to fund it in part or in total, also how many others who breached parking laws would be just given a warning.

Then Mr Lauder is accused of being subjective by Jonathon Seed, when he did the same, with his claim that this event is attended/supported by many thousands. Are there any real figures to substantiate this and how many are Lacock residents? Yes there maybe thousands who support this cruel pastime nationwide, but even then compared to the majority of the country against such abuse of our wildlife, which are millions, a few thousand cannot be considered as popular.

At least Jonathon Seed claims he was open about his involvement with the blood sports fraternity in any material concerning the council, whereas over the past several years the ordinary members of the National Trust could not make an informed decision when voting for new members of the executive council because those involved in the blood sports applying were allowed to conceal their interest.

I and others had to fight to expose any who did this, so as to allow ordinary members opposed to blood sports to vote in full knowledge of what and who they were voting for. It’s a sign of a sad, sick society when such single issue groups are allowed to put their interest first rather the overall good.
