HISTORIC CHURCHES COMMITTEE FOR THE DIOCESES OF SOUTHWARK, ARUNDEL & BRIGHTON, PORTSMOUTH, PLYMOUTH AND CLIFTON
Application reference #1207 dated 10/09/2019 has been received by the above Committee for approval of the following works to an exempt ecclesiastical building.
1. St Thomas More (Church) - Bradford-upon-Avon.
Grade II (Listing Number: 1364518)
2. Works Proposed:
The new heater will be in the same position as the existing and be connected to the same ductwork so there will be no impact on historic structure within the Worship Area. A new conventional flue will exit through the external wall just above the existing external opening into the heater enclosure. The much shorter flue length will reduce heat loss and so make the heater operate more efficiently. The new black-painted flue terminal will project 185mm at high-level beyond the external wall and it will exit through and replace the existing metal 'soot door' above the opening into the heater enclosure.
