Notice of Confirmation of Order Public Path Extinguishment & Definitive Map & Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980 & Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 The Wiltshire Council Melksham Without Path no.41 (part) Extinguishment and Definitive Map & Statement Modification Order 2019 On 27 November 2019 Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order made under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish that part of the width of the public right of way, (currently recorded as Bridleway no.41 Melksham Without and unrecorded rights for the public with non-mechanically propelled vehicles), at Snarlton Farm, Melksham Without, (Brown's Lane), running from OSGR ST 9226-6372 in a south-easterly direction for approx 290m to OSGR ST 9252-6359, having a width varying between 9m and 42m as shown shaded grey on the order plan and to change the Bradford and Melksham Rural District Council area definitive map and statement dated 1952 accordingly. A copy of the order as confirmed and map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Rights of Way and Countryside Section, Communities and Neighbourhood, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday. Copies may be boughtthereatthepriceof £5. Theorder comes intoforceon 27 November 2019, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 6 December 2019, make an application to the High

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Lower Woodrow (Part), Melksham Without; from its junction with Bridleway MELW55 to its junction with Forest Road; B) Forest Road, Melksham Without and Lacock; from its junction with Lower Woodrow to its junction with Bowden Hill to enable Openreach to carry out cabling for new service, access to overhead network. Alternative route: via Bowden Hill - The Wharf - Hither Way -Melksham Road - Chapel Hill - Cantax Hill - A350 - Semington Road -King Street - A3102 - Forest Road - Woodrow Road - Lower Woodrow (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 12 December 2019 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 until 13 December 2019. Lane - A350 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 December 2019 and the closure will be required between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00 until 11 December 2019. D) B3108 Winsley Bypass (Part), Winsley; from its junction with Hartley to its junction with Winsley Road to enable Tarmac to carry out carriageway hand patching and associated maintenance works. Alternative route: via B3108 (unaffected length) - A363 - B3109 - B3107 - B3105 - B3106 -Elizabeth Way - A361 - A36 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 December 2019 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 0:00 until 14 December 2019. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
