Southwick Road, Highbridge in the Parish of Mark
(Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2020
Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary traffic restrictions as specified in the Schedules below.
This Order will come into operation on the 22nd day of September 2020 and will remain in force for Twenty-Five months.
Works with respect to the road closure are expected to commence on the 1st October 2020 until the 1st November 2020
(07:00 - 19:00 hours), the restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.
The speed restriction is expected to commence from the 1st November 2020 until the 30th September 2022 and will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Prohibition of Vehicles Southwick Road, Highbridge - From the junction with the Lane off Southwick Road in an easterly direction to the junction Butt Lake Road Schedule 2 Temporary 30mph Speed Limit Southwick Road, Highbridge - From a point 168 metres west of the junction with Butt Lake Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 210 metres
Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road, or
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works
