Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: New Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with A420 Ivy Lane to its junction with Station Hill to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route anti-clockwise: via A420 - A4 - Bath Road - The Bridge and New Road (unaffected length). Alternative route clockwise: via New Road (unaffected length) - The Bridge - Bath Road - A4 - A420 - New Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation on 04 January 2021 will now recommence on 02 April 2021 and the closure will be required until 12 April 2021. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A346 (Part), Burbage, Savemake and Marlborough; from its junction with A338 to its junction with Blenheim Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route: via A346 (unaffected length) - A4 - A338 and vice versa. Alternative route for HGV's: via A346 (unaffected length) - A4 - A34 - A303 and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation on 10 December 2020 will now recommence on 31 March 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 08 April 2021. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all users: Byway 109 (Part), Purton; from its property known as 16 Hoggs Lane for a distance of approximately 100 metres in a northerly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out maintenance works to assets. Alternative route: via the Public rights of ways network and local Highway network. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. (Previously advertised as 2019) Notice is hereby given that on 16 March 2021 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order 1 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to introduce a 7.5 tonne weight restriction except for access on The Buffer - from its junction with Cowleaze to its junction with B4553 Purton Road.
