(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles) (Night Time Closure) Order 2021
Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following temporary traffic restrictions as detailed in the Schedule below.
This Order will come into operation on the 5th day of August 2021 and will remain in force for eighteen months.
The works are expected to commence on 9th day of August 2021 between 2200 hours and 0600 hours until the 8th day of July 2022 and the restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs. A copy of the draft Temporary Traffic Regulation Order and the associated plans can be examined at

Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works

c) the date on which the order would come into force and its maximum duration
