Notice of Variation - On Street Parking Places (Various Roads, Dorset) 2021
Dorset Council in exercise of its powers under section 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in compliance with Regulation 25 (Part V) Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 hereby make the following changes:
The effect of the changes will be to:
1. Change the charges payable for the use of the parking places identified in Schedule 1.
2. Change current charging periods for the use of the parking places identified in Schedule 2.
The changes will come into effect on 24 January 2022.

Overnight Temporary Closure of Maumbury Road, Dorchester
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Maumbury Road, Dorchester from the junction with Monmouth Road to the junction with Weymouth Avenue, a distance of approximately 20 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation overnight between 22:00 and 06:00 on 7 February 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it Is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13 February 2022. This Order will enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd safe access to carry out refurbishments to the Railway Bridge.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using Monmouth Road, Culliford Road, B3144 Prince of Wales Road, Weymouth Avenue and vice versa. Temporary Parking Restriction of Newstead Road, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 4 January 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 11 February 2022.
This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to lay new water main. The effect of this Notice is as follows:
1. To impose temporary parking suspension on Newstead Road for approximately 25 metres between no. 28 and its junction with Marsh Road as indicated by signs on site.
2. To impose clearway on Newstead Road for approximately 25 metres between no. 28 and its junction with Marsh Road as indicated by signs on site.
