Bournemouth Borough Council Notice of intention to make an order under the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001.
NOTICE is hereby given the Bournemouth Borough Council of Town Hall, Bourne Avenue Bournemouth, BH2 6DY ("the Council") intends to make an order under section13(2) of the above Act designating the public places described in the schedule below for the purposes of the Act.
Once an order has been made under that section in relation to the designated public places described in the schedule below, a constable may require a person who he reasonably believes is, or has been, consuming intoxicating liquor-
(a) not to consume intoxicating liquor in that place;
(b) to surrender open containers of such liquor.
A person who fails to comply with such a requirement commits an offence and would be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 2 on the standard scale (£500)

Representations concerning he Council's intention to make an order may be made in writing to the Council with in 28 days from the date of publication of this notice, after which the council shall consider any representations as to whether or not a particular public place should be identified in an order.
