Temporary Closure of Fiddington Road and Bonson Hill

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Fiddington Road - from 308 metres north of the junction with Cannington Road, northwards for 100 metres; and Bonson Hill - from the junction with Fiddington Road, eastwards for 97 metres. A total distance of 197 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out post and Plate works.

The Order becomes effective on 31st May 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 6th June 2022 and last until 10th June 2022 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days.

a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
