Wiltshire, Various Traffic Restrictions

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984


Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Phase 1: Westlands Lane (Part), Melksham Without; from outside property known as No.42 Westlands Lane to outside property known as No.43 Westlands Lane;
Phase 2: Westlands Lane (Part), Melksham Without; from outside property known as No.32A Westlands Lane to outside property known as No.45E Westlands Lane;
Phase 3: Westlands Lane (Part), Melksham Without; from outside property known as No.45A Westlands Lane to outside property known as No.33 Westlands Lane to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer scheme and associated works.
Alternative routes: Phase 1 via Westlands Lane - eastbound - (unaffected length) A350 - A365 - B3353 - Westlands Lane (unaffected length); Phase 2 and 3 via Westlands Lane (unaffected length), B3353, A365, Shurnhold, A350, Westlands Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 13 June 2022 and the closures will be required consecutively until 24 June 2022.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
B) A350 Beanacre Road (Part), Melksham; from outside property known as Spencers Sport and Social Club to outside property known as no.4 Beanacre Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out replacements on manhole covers.
Alternative route via A350 (unaffected length) - A4 - A365 - A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 May 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 for 1 night.

C) Russell Mill Lane, West Lavington; from its junction with A360 for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, replacement of road markings, adjustment of ironworks and associated works.
No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 23 May 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 for 4 days.

Orders A) to C) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.


THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER No.6 2022
(Ref: TTRO 8064) Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in pursuance of the provisions of S14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to make an order the effect of which will be to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. The order is required to enable carriageway surface dressing and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 6 June 2022 for a maximum period of eighteen months.


Where a road is to be closed on two separate dates this is to allow sufficient time between the surface dressing and sealing and lining works. The closure will not be implemented for the whole of the period and are anticipated to be for one to two days duration only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.


The closure is anticipated to take place between 11 July - 7 August 2022.
Schedule 1. C113 Wick Hill, Bremhill; from its junction with Mauds Heath Causeway to its junction with Bremhill Road North East.
Alternative route (vice versa) via C113 (unaffected length), C375, B4069, A420, A4, C113 (unaffected length). All works will be published on Wiltshire Council website https://one.network/public when confirmed dates are known.

3. C150 Corsham Road, Lacock and Thingley; from its junction with A350 to its junction with Thingley Road.
4. C218 Cold Harbour (Part) Great Hinton; from its junction with A350 to its junction with Hinton Lane. Common Hill (Part), Great Hinton; for a distance of approximately 70m either side of its junction with C218 Cold Harbour.
5. B3105 (Part), Bradford on Avon, South Wraxall and Holt; from its junction with B3109 to its junction with B3107.
6. B3108 (Part), Limpley Stoke; from its County Boundary with Bath and North East Somerset for a distance of approximately 1km in a southerly/south easterly direction.
7. A350 (Part), Lacock; from its junction with Corsham Road, Lacock to its roundabout with B4528 Showell.
8. The Ley, Box; from its junction with A365 to its junction with Hazelbury Hill.
9. Murhill, Winsley; from its junction with B3108 to its junction with Limpley Stoke Road.
10. Iford Hill and Iford Lane, Westwood; from its junction with Iford Lane, Hinton Charterhouse, Bath to its junction with Iford Road, Lower Westwood.
